Year 4 have been learning about different breads from around the world, they enjoyed baking their own German, Turkish and French bread. They used their learning from measuring and weighing to help them during this activity.

In Science year 4 have been looking at states of matter. We investigated the boiling point of water and watched it evaporate, changing from a liquid to a gas. We also measured the temperature of the water at different times and observed the changes.

During our Science topic in Spring 1, year 4 have continued their Science work on states of matter by observing the changes from a solid to a liquid through the process of melting. The children used the melted chocolate to make crispy buns.

Year 4 completed their D.T. topic by designing and sewing vegetable toys

Year 4 and 5 had a great time at the zone learning skills from the Huddersfield Giants

Year 4 enjoyed performing their assembly about India

Year 4 went on a bug hunt to identify and classify animals in our environment

Year 4 visited Jorvik Viking Museum to increase their learning and knowledge about the Vikings. 

The children saw an excavation site of a Viking house, they explored a Viking village and artefacts from the Viking

age. They also got the chance to be archaeologists and do dome digging.
