Religious Education has an important place in our curriculum and our purpose in teaching RE is that everyone is able to value the diversity we find in our school community. At Spring Grove School we enjoy asking big questions about our own beliefs and the beliefs of others. As a Rights Respecting school our discussions take place in an atmosphere of respect and understanding so that we can learn from each other and develop our understanding of the world.
We recently completed our assessment for the RE Quality Mark, and were very proud to have been awarded Gold. This shows that we achieve high standards in RE lessons, and also that we want to share what we have learned and understood with others in our community.
We enjoy visits to local places of worship to learn about the different religious groups that meet in our area. We celebrate many different religious festivals in school because we are a multi-cultural community and we want to value and celebrate what is important to our friends and neighbours. We like to put on plays for our Celebration Assemblies - and , of course, everyone loves parties!
