Spring Grove JIN School Curriculum Rationale
INTENT
Like all schools we want the best for our children but we are outstanding because we identify barriers to learning for every child and take responsibility for attempting to remove them where they exist.
Our intention is to use our curriculum to achieve the following:
Respect each other.
We aspire to be the best we can be.
We are confident and resilient
We build knowledge and skills progressively through an engaging, exciting and memorable learning opportunities so that our children develop a life-long love of learning
IMPLEMENTATION
We meet our statutory obligations using the NC and enhance this through the use of RRS
We teach subjects well by employing specialists and by prioritising high quality CPD for teachers and support staff
We constantly review, evaluate and improve our subject delivery by consulting each other, children and outcome.
Subject leaders are proactive in identifying the areas for improvement, resources required, CPD needs and best practice through the use of evidence-based strategies –eg EEF guidance reports
IMPACT
Our children understand that when they leave our school they will form part of a society in which their role is to be respectful, resilient and confident.
They are well prepared because they understand that regardless of background they have rights and responsibilities
At every key transition point, they are well prepared through careful collaboration with partner schools and providers
Pupil outcomes are consistently high so that pupils have the best possible chance of achieving economic well-being.
